How can a steel Sutter stand be insulated from a heated series 20 chamber?

When heating a sample in a chamber an insulator can be used to prevent the steel Sutter stand from acting as a heat sink.  The insulator can be made out of a thin layer of plastic, cardboard, or even a latex glove.
