Will an objective warmer slide off of an objective on an upright microscope?

Objective warmers do not slide off of objectives on upright microscopes.  Each warmer has two silicone rings that come into contact with the objective.  These rings are flexible and therefore expand to slide over wide portions of the objective, and contract to "grip" onto the the narrow portions.  This, combined with the fact that the warmers are only 30-33 grams each, ensure that the objectives stay in place.
