What are the advantages of using a Leak-Free electrode?

 
Leak-Free electrodes were developed to eliminate problems associated with the use of conventional porous-junction based reference electrodes. The problem solved include clogging, sample contamination, electrolyte loss, changing the ionic strength of the sample, and difficulties associated with use in organic solvents.
