Is it possible to tell if there is a loose connection inside the TC-324B/344B controller unit?

 
To check the integrity of the cable, please do the tests suggested in the attachment.

There is also a simple test to check if the TC-324B or TC-344B is properly calibrated. Begin by bridging the BNC input on the rear panel of the controller with a 10 kohm precision resistor. The meter should read 25±0.1 °C.
