Is there a way to avoid damaging the IE-210 intracellular amplifier probe/headstage?

 
The probe input is not protected against electrostatic discharge, even if the amplifier is in the OFF mode. Therefore, make sure to electrically discharge yourself through a connection to ground before touching the probe.
